Manchester Wedding Venues

As a Manchester Wedding Photographer I’m a little bit biased when shooting weddings on home turf as I LOVE all things Manchester! The city and its warm friendly people are some of the best in the world in my humble opinion so what better place to get married than right here! For the last 14 years or so I’ve photographed lots of weddings and further to my series on the best wedding venues to get married in the UK I thought one highlighting some of the cool places to get married in Manchester would be useful to you guys looking for a little wedding inspiration! In no particular order here are some of my favourites:

Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photographer - www.victoriawarehouse.com
Amazing warehouse space on the outskirts of the city centre. Perfect for an urban warehouse wedding vibe with the space for a big wedding with lots of guests and the opportunity to decorate the venue with your own style. Love it here it’s a photographers playground!!

Five Four Studios Wedding Photographer - www.fivefourstudios.com
A quirky and cool place to get married! Five Four Studios is an active photography studios hosting shoots for all sorts of cutting edge contemporary fashion and portrait photography. The studios offer bright white spaces which can be customised to your minds desire to create something unique and beautiful for your wedding day. The streets surrounding the studios also offer some fantastic opportunites for cool, gritty urban couple portraits which is something I love to create for all my couples on the wedding day.

Victoria Baths Wedding Photographer - www.victoriabaths.org.uk
Historic, quirky, beautiful and an ideal place to host your wedding day! Victoria Baths Manchester is an old grade 2 listed Edwardian swimming baths minus the water! It’s used to host a variety of unique and alternative events including weddings! There are a variety of different spaces inside ranging from three poolhalls, turkish baths and the gala poolhall. The spaces have beautiful features including old tiles and stained glass windows to give the place a unique and opulent feel.

Castlefield Rooms Wedding Photographer - www.thecastlefieldrooms.com
A really nice naturally lit airy space in the heart of Manchester city centre. Castlefield is full of industrial heritage and the space has the same flavour of industrial past meets modern architecture. Great for small to large wedding parties and a superb industrial/residential location which is awesome for couple portraits! I’ve photographed loads of couples here over the years amongst the stunning industrial ironwork of the old bridges, concrete, steel and not forgetting the waterfront setting! It’s another wedding photographer dream location and has resulted in some of my best wedding photos I’ve ever shot! Love it here!

King Street Townhouse Wedding Photographer - www.kingstreettownhouse.co.uk
A luxury wedding venue in the heart of Manchester! The hotel is a Grade II listed, historic building with a beautiful and unique exclusive luxury townhouse vibe. Lots of space, roof terrace and breakout rooms give this venue a homely and private feel for your wedding guests to move around in. Opulance at its best!

Didsbury House Hotel Wedding Photographer - www.didsburyhouse.co.uk
A luxury Victorian Villa on the outskirts of Manchester. Didsbury is a hip place within a short drive of the city centre where all the grown up Manchester party people go to live, work and play! The area is full of cool bars, restaurants and coffee shops so is a great place to base yourselves for a wedding. The wedding venue has a cosy boutique feel but can host quite large weddings. All the rooms are beautifully designed, furnished and decorated full of character and charm. The sister building a few hundred metres away Eleven Didsbury Park is the perfect place to hold your wedding reception with the same luxury boutique feel and beautiful walled garden to chill out in.

Eleven Didsbury Park Wedding Photographer - www.elevendidsburypark.co.uk
A luxury boutique Victorian Villa on the outskirts of Manchester city centre and the ideal wedding venue for small to medium weddings. This is the sister hotel to Didsbury House up the road and has all the same stunning interior decor but the added advantage of a beautiful and private walled garden for your guests to relax and chat. There is also a great inside/outside dining area which is perfect for your wedding meal and party later on.

The Lowry Wedding Photographer - www.thelowry.com
A contemporary and pretty unique Manchester wedding venue. The famous Lowry Theatre home to a variety of creative events and exhibitions is a fantastic place to get married. You can get married and have your reception on the top floor circular glass room with panoramic views over the Manchester skyline and docklands - pretty cool huh!? This venue can cater for very large weddings with plenty of space to explore in and around the building and also at the famous Media City a few hundred metres away. Its awesome for group and couple shots too so I’m always spoiled for choice when I shoot there!

Manchester Art Gallery Wedding Photographer - www.manchesterartgallery.org
Another contemporary wedding venue set in a pretty classical building. The nice thing here is that you get the best of both an old and new setting with some of the rooms on offer for your wedding such as Gallery 16 or the cafe being more classical and then you have the cutting edge architecture of the glass atrium either of which you can use for your wedding day. Guest can chill have a drink and chat amongst the Lowry or Pre-Raphaelite paintings before getting their dancing shoes on in the glass atrium later. Pretty cool and classy if you ask me and all in the heart of Manchester city centre.
