2018 - Another fantastic year of fun weddings, amazing people and far flung places! I often say this but for me weddings are all about the people! The thing I love most about what I do is the opportunity to photograph and chat to people from all walks of life from all over the world. The little black boxes of magic and wonder I carry around with me have been my ticket to see some pretty awesome people and places over the last 10 years as a wedding photographer. Thank you cameras I love you! The other BIG thanks goes out to all my amazing couples who entrust me to photograph one of the biggest days of their lives! BIG love, thanks and respect to you guys! Enough fluff n guff, here’s highlights of my 2018 in pictures…

Gemma+Xavier married recently at the awesome Walcot Hall in the beautiful hills of Shropshire. As creative designers I knew their day was going to be pretty cool and full of creative thinking and neat little touches and they definitely delivered! The day was full of fun and laughs, awesome people and the wonderful colours and eccentric beauty of Walcot Hall! I love it there its quirky nature and bold colours suits my style down to the ground. I particularly LOVE all the unusual objects and old cars scattered around the grounds which make for some great photographs! The glamping style accommodation is fantastic too giving all the guests some chill time pre and post wedding! If you are after a fun and quirky wedding venue out in the hills then Walcot Hall its simply an awesome place to get married. Check out the highlights from the day below!Read More
I love alternative weddings and alternative wedding venues and Manchester Art Gallery is certainly one of them! Same sex marriages always have a quirky and fun vibe filled with the most amazing people which is always a blast to photograph! Kat+Rebecca married in Vegas with Elvis by their side and wanted a get together back in the UK at an equally quirky wedding venue with all of their best friends and family. Sounded like an ace plan to me so I was excited straight away when they asked me to photograph their wedding celebration party! Here are some of the highlights!Read More
Oh man this was a great little intimate and alternative wedding down in beautiful Cornwall! Lisa+Chris had an awesome day with just themselves and their kids, a witness and photographer. The simplicity of an elopement by the sea is sometimes the best way to go for a stress free wedding day :O) Here are some highlights from the day.Read More
This alternative bohemian city wedding was a pretty special one on my home turf of Manchester. Damon aka the musician Badly Drawn Boy and Leanne tying the knot in their home town town of Manchester what could be better!? As a massive music obsessive I always love photographing weddings in Manchester with its rich musical heritage. I've known Damon for quite some time and have mutual mates on the Manchester music scene many of which I have photographed over the years through my music portraiture. Their wedding was held at the awesome King Street Townhouse set against the Manchester skyline. As Inspiral Carpets once said - 'Cool as!' Here are some of the highlights...Read More
If you want to get married by the sea then Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, Devon is probably my favourite wedding venue anywhere in the world. Its such a beautiful place by the sea and if the sun is kind and you are fortunate to get a sunset on your wedding day then it becomes otherworldly EPIC! This was such an awesome day filled with the most amazing people at one of the best places in the world to get married! Here are some highlights from the day :O)Read More

2017 was both an awesome and difficult year for me as I was lucky to be a part of so many fantastic weddings with great people in amazing places. On the flip side I lost my dad out of the blue late in September and life seemed to grind to a halt. Just as things couldn't get any worse my mum had a stroke just before Christmas which took away her speech. The past few months have been difficult to say the least but somehow we have managed to keep it together and stay strong. Through intensive work, courage and determination my mum can now speak well again. Finally we seem to be coming out the other side of dark times and looking forward to the future again. I have learned a lot about life this last few months but mainly to enjoy every day as things can change very quickly in our short time on earth. As a result or job photographing moments and relationships in other peoples lives resonates with me more than ever.
These are some of my favourite moments from last year... x
